Nice shot. I like the reflection in the vase because the person is centered between the two stems. I might had cropped a little of the reflection of the vase from the bottom, in my top picks

floating? nice self portrait in the window...... had the orcids be floating on top of water I could get the title.

Great colors, especially the orange is really beautiful. Nice composition though I would have liked to see more of the reflection. Good sharpness and lighting, nice background.
Very nice entry!

Beutiful plant, great vase, great background/table. It is an almost for me. I think you could do a lot more here using the great reflections of the vase.

I think the reflection in the vase hurts a bit, and the reflection in the table helps alot. [Edit] On second look, I think the reflection in the vase adds so much interest, it is almost a photo in the photo. I'm really unsure now how to vote this one since, it is, in some ways, the most interesting entry in both Challenges. Technically, it has more complexity and has me thinking more than any other image. I can't sort it out in my head which usually means you should get my highest vote for challenging my thinking about what photography is all about and what makes a great image! I feel the title shouldn't matter as much and yet I'm yearning to know if you would have named this, "Reflection in a vase" but for the fact that it would be so obvious and Floating Orchids is so much more subtle and rich. I have decided the reflection, and more specifically, the figure in the reflection IS the subject and I am really wishing on the one hand, that I knew for certain that you intended it to be so, and on the other hand, wondering whether that should or shouldn't matter. I may take a chance and vote this one #1. Maybe. I'm just not sure!
