Hi dear friends, I'm absolutely happy that you liked my pic so much, what a lot of nice comments!!! I stretched my mind a helluva lot to find something interesting in my usual (and boring!) everyday route that I hadn't presented on another challenge, and my choices quickly reduced to two, this one and the beach. Glad you liked both, this one especially!
- Raf: many thanks, glad you liked it! You are right with the range of tones, my PP resulted in almost only two here... just made a bet on drama over details this time and crossed fingers :-D
- Una: LOL!!!! that's really funny :-D :-D :-D
- Michael: Really many thanks and honoured to be your top pick! You're totally right, I took a lot of pics and finally got this angle, that for sure makes it more impressive than it is really... glad you liked it! (and... I'm not sure if you spotted me this time or not... but I should say that this is in fact close to my new house, I moved here just five years ago :-)
- Jade: many thanks also for such nice comment and voting!! Yes, I should try to make a stacked pic here, I really like the great result of your stacked one from Toronto (it's yours, I hope, or Michael will take me out another badge :-)
- Franz: I hope that too!! :-D :-D glad you liked it!
- LaRee: Many thanks also to you, and you also are right, in fact my idea was clarifying the vignette on the bottom edges... but I totally run out of time! just half an hour left to finish my beach pic... :-D :-D
- Lo: glad you like the BW :-) it was nice also in colour, but when I converted it to BW, I knew that was the pic ;-)
- Forkcandles & ellaVic: totally agree!!! wouldn't try to climb here for sure :-D :-D the other two sides are more climber-friendly, with less handholds, these two sides are a nightmare :-D glad both of you liked it so much, many thanks!
- Mike, Alby: wow!! again highly honoured to be your top pick, especially when both of you are usually top picks for me! many thanks!!!!
- Ronoz: also many thanks for our nice comment, glad you liked it! :-)

Stark, strong, threatening... and definitely too hard to climb! Perfect treatment for such an unusual angle. I love it.

but you dont want to climb it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the locals thought they were getting swings. a nice dark and somber picture to brighten my day.

This looks formidable. Black and white was the perfect choice to bring out the texture.

The composition is really great. I do wish I could see a bit more on the bottom edge of the frame, it is just a bit too dark.

My daughter says, this picture is disturbing. But I like it very much!
...I hope this is not a bad sign... ;-)

Easily in my top picks, I would be surprised if this entry does not finish highly. I like everything about the composition, framing, dramatic sky, good choice of B&W. I only sense that the handholds are slightly in need of sharpening and if this photo had been stacked so that the silhouette and cloud were in focus throughout the focal range, I think it would be my no. 1. It still might be anyway.

This is an amazing shot - my #1 right off the bat. I love that angle you have chosen that probably makes it more impressive than it actually is. When I look at it the clouds seem to move in the sky. Is this near your old house or your new one?

This looks like you are living in Gotham City! In my TT!

Very dramatic composition. As for any b&w I really want to see a greater range of tones
