Post-Processing:
Cropped, Adjusted brightness & contrast, unsharp mask. Sized for entry.
Extra Info:
The flying dart actually hit the bulls-eye !
Remote in one hand - dart in the other. Throw and click. One in 10 tries catches the dart in mid air. Tripod and flash - obviously.

Jade, raf, Bill: Many thanks for your comments. I shot this 1 hour before the close so had little time for pp. Hence the door trim. I wanted the flying dart blurred to emphasize that it was in the air not stuck in the white part of the board. I liked the shadow for the same reason. I guess I was wrong LOL. I'm happy you all approved of the crop (by default). That gave me a real headache.
This is called a soft tip board. The board records the score electronically. The darts have soft plastic tips that do not damage the floor, walls, other people, etc (all the points I normally hit :-) And Bill, you were right - it did not hit the bull.
It was very satisfying to catch the dart in mid-air. I will post some out-takes that may get a chuckle. If I find time I will shoot some from behind as Jade suggested. I suspect that they will blend with the board.

I wish that the target objects could have been better lighted to avoid the strong shadow, and also the wall molding in the background. Still, I like this adaptation of the theme. It's colorful and crisp and you got the motion stopped. In my favorites. I don' this it's going to make the smallest circle, however.

Great idea, well executed, well composed. I wonder about the choice of shutter speed, yes it gives motion blur, but would I rather see the dart as sharp? Worth considering. Do not like the vertical door frame(?)

What kind of material is that board made of? The trim in the background is a little distracting as is the dart shadows but I like the texture of the board and the colours. I wonder what a straight on shot of the board from directly behind the darts would look like? If you tried any shots from that angle, I'd love to see them in outtakes after the voting to compare the two angles.
