Post-Processing: Converted from Raw. Sharpened, Saturation, cropped, re-sized, cloned out distracting spots.       Extra Info: This "close as possible" photo is really of two young birds who recently decided to live on a small ledge on our front porch. The ledge is only about two inches wide, so they don't quite fit. The oddest thing is that the same thing happened last summer with two different birds, (which I mistook as just one "strange bird").

Jul 19, 2010		     Honestly, I've seen hairstyles like this too! Really interesting capture! If you do get the front end capture, I hope you'll post for us in outtakes. Beautiful looking birds.

Jul 19, 2010		     Wow, two references to pelts. Didn't see that coming. Anyway, they look too little and roundish to be woodpeckers. As for shooting the front of the birds, I only see them when they are sleeping, like in the picture.

Jul 18, 2010		     I wish I knew what kind of bird this is. Great markings on the feathers. It looks like you stuck some type of pelt and feathers up on the edge. I'd love to see the front of these birds if possible. Maybe in the future?
