Many thanks for your nice comments dear friends, I had so many problems in this challenge that really don't expect finishing well in either cathegory...
First, the most challenging situation was finding something to get an entry... Gaby's city, a relatively small one, is so well cared that was almost impossible to find anything wrecked or ruined... and not being repaired quickly :-) so I really had to get in close, as Raf has noticed (glad you like that :-)
Second problem: I carried my laptop with me... but was so, soooo stupid, that left the charging cord at home!!! arrrrgggghh!!! :-((( ... :-D :-D
Tried to buy a universal one... only to find that Compaq (and HP and Sony, as I was told) uses a special connection pinhole in certain models that the universal chargers can't fit (and yes... mine was one of those >:-(
Waiting for an original replacement would have consumed almost all my holidays... and cost 120-130 euros!! nonono...
So, had to use Gaby's computer... and yes, you can guess... no Photoshop!! :-((((( so, I installed GIMP... and discovered that is really, really a powerful software, considering it's free, but my PP was sooo dramatic slow too :-D missed a lot some of my automated processes with Photoshop... but anyway, finished pleased with GIMP, considering the difficulties. But, final problem, I didn't callibrate the monitor perfectly, so Rino is right, now that I'm back at home (... snif!!) I can see the image is not so well contrasted as I've imagined...
But anyway, I'm pleased that at least you liked the pic :-) Jade, LOL, yes, it appears to be lens distortion, but the house was so old, that in fact looked like that, it's really "wood distortion" :-D
Last but not least, Una, many thanks for such nice comment :-)

Nice colors, I like the turquoise ribbon (?) in the curtain (?). Great match with the theme.

i like the colours but have some issues with the perspective/lens distortion which may not be distortion at all. Well composed, and exposed, I'm intrigued but uncertain as to whether this will make my TT.

Nice. This picture would need a little more contrast in my opinon to give strenght to the photo.
Good luck

I like this small scale entry. Technically & compositionally well handled. Getting in close has really helped here.
