Post-Processing: cropped resized and filter cutout levels and sharpened       Extra Info: the challenge called out for bird shots but recent examples in competition and outtakes gave me a chill. as mepo said most of them were chuckouts. so a literal thinking and useing cut as a filter gave a new shape to the birds rising out of the water after a wash to get rid of the flees

May 15, 2011		     I'd like to see the original of this one, because what attracts me overall is the symmetry of the birds, and the excellent way in which you've cropped them. The PP makes for a very interesting effect that I've come to appreciate as I look at the photo over and over again.

May 12, 2011		     Well this might not have been a chuck-out. I hope you post the original in outtakes so we can see what you started with.

I confess I like the pattern, and imagery. Minimalist and abstract but with enough clues we easily and readily recognize the pattern and what the original image was.

May 12, 2011		     Well, I like the effort. I has good comp, movement, and contrast, plus strong visual interest. Not your ordinary bird shot, and in my top favorites.
