Like the almost monochromatic tone, and the glistening of the dew on the grass. The telephone lines are like spiders' webs in the early morning light |

Thank you all for your generous comments. Normally this is a slightly boring drive but this day it was something very special. |

Actually this is a high angle picture, taken from the lowest level you could get. Nice old time feeling in the colors and exposure. Oh, sorry, now I understand that it was a joke! Edited on Oct 22, 2012

Very nice capture! The mist and low clouds in the distance is very appealing. In my top picks. Nice work! :-) |

Both high and low angle here - not bad! .Camera on the ground, looking down at the dip in the road. I really like the early hours misty light and atmosphere, the great composition, with that curvy road, the mother-of-pearl quality of the sky. My favorite. |

I like the contrast of the mist, and the reflections off the vehicles. |

And I left it in specially for you! My hero forging through the sky in an early dawn.
In the first light of day we forge, half awake through the detritus of our early drive navigating through the fog toward our daily chores and away from our husbands or wives. An arrow of white appears unreeling through the sky high above the mist that clouds our eyes. And sun glints from a metal skin reminding us that in the air at thirty thousand plus five a lone plane flits Westward with some lucky %^&*! at the controls. Edited on Oct 22, 2012

Wow, this is so difficult to get right and you've pretty much nailed the technical aspects here. The one big negative for me -- is that a jet contrail across the sky mid-frame or what? That I would have cloned out. Love the light on the wires, the mist, the haze, reflections and muted palette. |
