Congrtas on your tt finish. Now I know the reason for the pink and the ghost - the chip on your lens must have caught the light.

Top 10! Sliding down the side might have made top 5!!! :)

This is one of my favs. The sharp focus denoting the year above the opening really adds to the photo's effectiveness.

I like the mature tree on top of the tunnel but am wondering about the ghostly branch in the lower right corner - looks like part of a 3D picture.

El.... bingo... I see the purple fringing in the foreground, it's NOT your monitor. I have never seen this before with my FZ50. HHhmmmm, oh well.. purple isn't a bad color! LOL! Merry Christmas!

Thanks Am and Lo... yes, there is a peacefulness there. I have done a lot of canoeing here. :-)

i like that you got the whole entryway on this one. on your other shot, i like that you look straight through the tunnel but it looks too cutoff on the side. never really noticed what they call 'purple fringing' but seem to see it on tree and branches in foreground (might be my monitor) but not a big problem anyway.
happy holidays.

Love the soft sprinkling of untouched snow over the tunnel. There's a peacefulness serenity in this scene

I like the muted colors in this one. With the snow and the water, the image seems almost a bit desaturated, but the greens and the browns are excellent counterpoints to the water and the snow.

Hey Jade :-) Drama? You should have seen the steep hillside covered in snow I had to traverse to get the open image! That was dramatic! LOL! This one was easy! I shot it from the road.

I like the open entry best; though this is well composed it does not have the drama of the other and shows how the same subject can look interesting from one angle but have a greater impact when taken from a more intriguing one.
