Joanna: My condolences, we have BOTH been dragged into this :-) I think we should retaliate by banning all entries with an excess of blue in them (Jade's favourite entries). |

As my name has been dragged into this I feel I am entitled to join in. Jade wants another clue. Jade you might try thinking outside the square. I wonder if you have considered whether "babysister" may be a he. After all it is a pseudonym ( cf Jade O.) |
|
Mepo Feb 19, 2013 |
|
babysister: LOL It's very rare for Jade to make any kind of error and on those occasions she/he will obfuscate like crazy - I'm guessing pilots get good at that sort of thing, in Jade's case especially to avoid being blamed for damage to the runway :-D As for members enlarging, as you can see by the video Jade has already enlarged beyond belief. |
|
babysister Feb 18, 2013 |
|
Jade O: Do we have someone called babysitter now?? The members seem to be enlarging. |

Jade O. Feb 18, 2013 |

O.k. babysitter and Joanna. Just so you know. That feint is to throw you off, to let down your guard, to give up the clue in a careless slip. Holmes, like the Mounties, always gets his man, woman, or what have you.
(But I sure could use another clue, lol!) |
|

babysister: OK - I give up, I quit, I surrender, I am an "Ex-Sherlock" akin to Monty Python's Parrot. However I would like to make three observations as I fall flat on my face: 1. Joanna suggested that I was "a bit off track" which might suggest that my Basset hound was pointed somewhat in the right direction. 2. Neither of you has outright denied some connection hmmmm. 3. Given your description I might have had a better chance at identification if I could confirm that your grandmother had worked in Ottawa in the late 60's (our hospitals were, and still are stacked with Australian nurses) LOL
Joanna: If you become known on the site as "Poor Joanna" please do not blame me :-)
Jade: You are directly to blame for getting me into this mess and I can only hope that these two beautiful Australian ladies will write their own criticism of your terrible landing that I posted on the out takes.
I'm not sure who gave you the shovel but you have been most successful at digging yourself deeper with each comment. Now you have started another Obama scandal with poor Joanna "It's not what my birth certificate says!". Please learn from my experience and stay on the very best side of Australian women, especially if they have a large hypodermic needle in hand ROFLMAO. |
|
Joanna Feb 17, 2013 |

Me...Not native to Australia?!! How do you work that out? It's not what my birth certificate says! |

babysister wrote: ...I have long golden locks, perfect figure, baby blue eyes,...
Well, that makes two of us. O.k. maybe not the golden locks or blue eyes part...lol!
And while I may fly grey I don't fly Dumbo-jets - clever try though. (I've had some nuts along for the ride from time to time.)
Allow me, Holmes. Simple deduction.
Note the clues. 1. Joanna has not needed a babysitter for a number of years. 2. Babysister has a pert nose. 3. Joanna is not Joanne or Jo or Anna, or even Sheila, but Joanna. 4. Elephants are grey. 5. Babysister and Joanna are well traveled but like elephants, neither are native to Australia.
The answer is obvious! It's f) - Footropes! Edited on Feb 17, 2013

Look Mepo: With poor Joanna being dragged into this I had to look at her "Lessons" photo. Without wishing to be offensive to the model in the photo, i did have trouble identifying as I have long golden locks, perfect figure, baby blue eyes, pert nose etc. Just give in! |

Not at all Mepo..all good fun and am enjoying following your"deductions" but off track a bit with reference to that photo. Keep trying! |

Hi Joanna: Yes I had figured that out :-) However I thought babysitter and baby sister were probably totally compatible so I figured your entry in "lessons" #121 might be someone related to you. True or false I hope you realize this is all meant in good humour and I do apologise if I've crossed the line. |

Joanna Feb 16, 2013 |

Ok Mepo...seeing that you have brought my name into this identity mystery...please tell me to which "photo of her (babysitter) on this site" you refer. It is some years since I needed to employ a babysitter.!!! Edited on Feb 16, 2013

Now you mention you didn't take Lo on that trip! And after I changed my comment about Lo complaining you never take her anywhere on babysister's entry....
Well I'm keen for the HATR sequence - you could try the outtakes forum!

The two words have a certain equipollence to me and I hadn't realized that I'd interchanged them. However I think it has no effect on the deduction. To which 'well traveled' comment do your refer?
Speaking of travel. Not sure I should mention this on the public site but I think I scored a major breakthrough in sleuthing. A short while ago I was in the airport in Toronto (and no I did not take Lo with me on that trip), however (after chatting with some airline personnel about photography - I was shooting away as usual) and I'm certain that I filmed you coming in to land and then taxiing to the terminal. Super landing by the way, I love catching that puff of dust on touch down.
I don't wish to 'out' you since I think the Great Jade mystery is a lot of fun for the site but I have to figure a way to show you the sequence so you can confirm my discovery. |
|
Jade O. Feb 16, 2013 |
|
Well, I'd buy in if it said babysitter instead of babysister. But the Aus connection and the well traveled comment have me thinking they're from different continents (which given my sleuthing record probably means you're right!) |

Jade: I don't know if the admin data would give any info but I wouldn't use it anyway - it would be cheating sleuthing imo :-) I deduct that Babysitter sits for Joanna and that we even have a photo of her (babysitter) on the site. |
|
Jade O. Feb 15, 2013 |

Holmes, Watson needs your help with entry #36... (unless as an Admin you already know.) A nebulous clue, to be sure, but one that might call forth the talents of a master sleuth! |

This is an interesting and well captured image. When I read the extra information, I had a feeling the image was taken by Mepo. ^5 Mepo, you really are a nice guy regardless what Jade says! LMAO! |

Funny you should notice that Jade - long story there :-) |

Glad your sentinel finished so well - I think he deserves a donut with his coffee for your fine placement. |

Fantastic portrait, amazing detail on the ice crystals and the exhaled air. I could quibble about the crop, maybe could lose some of the top of the image to move the face away from the center, but still my #1 pick! |

Excellent shot, the b&w works very well, especially if there were many colours involved, Kudos for being out in that weather and even more for thinking about the coffee, one of my favourites! |

Your 'Extra Info' really brings meaning to your entry, what a way to earn a living, -42° C or F, he has certainly earnt the hot coffee!! ( That is a 75°C differential to my daytime temperature of +33°C) In my TT. |
