Extra Info: this make where I live unique
A deep natural gorge where the river reversed its flow after the ice age.
The first city in UK to have an arterial road and built to withstand earthquakes. The gorge moves regularly during the year and so we have a tunnel as well.
it is still used for shipping. the ship in the foreground is in cargo outbound to Ireland
we also have an awesome bridge to join the sides.
the river flowing to make high tide was running at 6.4knots up to ten minutes before high tide. on the right side we have a railway in the right hand bushes, to make the picture complete an aircraft or balloon but none visible at the time.
[yeah I must get out more.... ]

A keeper for sure. Very well done. A difficult shot for sure. The Leica glass did not let you down. I think Brunel would be pleased :-)

thank you for the comments before and after voting
This shot nearly did'nt happen. a planned 1315 lock out failed as the tide had not reached appropiate height before the ships could leave and the light was nearly gone.
the sky was mostly pollution at that point and clouds were forming a barrier.
I was going to use my canon on this shot due its but had arrived on site with the camera in a bag at Home and no time to go get it.

A great shot with effective depth of field. I really like your choice of light. The rippling effect adds movement and brings the scene to life.

Beautiful photo. I love the ripples on the water. Last time I saw this bridge people were bungy jumping from it.

This image's power goes beyond words, it evokes tranquility and action, a top favorite. Amazing water markings.

I like the peaceful scene here. The framing is is done well. Too bad the sky was so bland. In my favs.
