Post-Processing:
Some noise reduction in sky as the Raw image was taken at ISO 1200. This was taken with a Panasonic GH3. Somehow when I saved it for Web, it seems to have lost the EXIF data.
Extra Info:
We live 20 miles form downtown Minneapolis. . With urban sprawl taking all around us,, we consider ourselves lucky to have farm fields and open country so close to us

This is absolutely wonderful. I love the bit of reflection of color on the ground in front of the snow in the image. What a beautiful scene and very well captured!

Congratulations, this was my top pick. Such a beautiful contrast between the stark tree and the fiery sky.

The incredible colours in nature never cease to amaze me. I might have been tempted to crop out the square shrub, but at that point you would lose the fiery sunrise on the left.

Lovely color to contrast with the trees and snow. I suggest cropping the partial pine tree on the left completely out of the photo, but that's my only nitpick. In my favs.

Sorry. Typos in my first comment. It should read:-
Beautiful subject but I find the colour a but unreal and the power lines are a distraction. Nevertheless a favourite.

Beautiful colors in the sky, shots like these that make me wish I lived in the country. Very nice entry.

the square shape makes more of the sky in top right.
a rectangle crop would make more of the lh anchor point the tree and cropping above the tops of the rh trees.
some cropping at the base to remove the dark area

I'm not normally a morning person, but I would gladly get up early to see this.

Great drama but almost all of it is in the sky and in my view, the sky should occupy at least 5/8ths of the frame. Here I'm pulled between line of trees and background both competing for my attention.

I think it's difficult to create an interesting winter shot by just shooting snow-covered trees. This is, IMO, the best of the lot in this challenge.
