Thank you all for your comments. I knew it needed more of the beach in the foreground but didn't know that until I had driven back 75km to my accommodation. Next morning instead of returning home I did a 150 km detour to get more shots. I should have looked at the tides - it was all covered in water! Foreground was tricky as there were steps going down from this point and they would have had to be included if I got the beach. Sometimes the landscape simply will not cooperate.
The camera stitched the photo. Mr Sawyer: I gave up trying to count the number of frames. Probably something between 12 and 20.

Very inviting and spot on exposure. Wish I could see a bit more of the beach. The people add interest, life and scale. Love the breaking wave.

Great vantage point! It's not easy to stitch moving water. How many frames did you use? The color, lighting, and framing work well here. The human element adds perspective. In my favs.

Looks like a beautiful secluded spot, nice natural colour.

Wow - what a view - and the panoramic format really makes the most of it. Great composition and colour.

The bay with the rocks in both ends suits well to a panorama. In my favorites.

O.k. it is not perfect (the horizon is a little bowed or even undulating ever so slightly) but you've got the exposures nailed (not easy in direct sun) and pleasant span. Add a little more foreground and it would be stunning!

the figures IMO spoil the picture as they appear on the left hand side.
