    Wonderful, wide open story.
I like it very much!

Congratulations! And not a model, eh? What wonderful timing, in that case!!

Good sharpness for such a slow shutter speed. Well done.

thanks all for the comments. JO - I agree with you; don't think I managed the distortions as well as I could of. ysal, forkcandles, et. al., this was not a staged shot with a model; the door opened revealing the woman as I snapped. I went with it. Again thanks, the comments are helpful.

Very dramatic shot, placement of the model is very effective.

Nice use of light and the figure at the top of stairs

The vertical orientation, b&w, and shaded areas work very well together in a kind of hitchcockian tension.

Very nice. Love the detail in the shadows (hope everyone can see it!). The composition is compelling with light up above. Nicely seen and presented.

The wide angle distortion bothers me a bit on the left bottom corner of the frame. I wish the lit "T" element was more squared on the vertical and horizontal. But I love the tone and the mood. Nicely done with the technical details.

Thoughtful interpretation of the theme. Nicely lit with a film noir feel.

Great B&W rendering and composition. The light draws the eye up the stairway to the figure at the doorway which adds the element of intrigue. Nice job!

i would have wedged the door open, the result would be more darker in feeling rather than the colour

I like the composition; I like the black and white presentation. The shadow areas could be lightened up a bit. I'm conflicted whether the figure in the picture belongs there or not. Certainly, the title fits and is understandable. I think this might have been a better picture without the human, but I think that is merely a matter of personal taste. In any case, this is a fine photo with a strong, well-composed image.

Dark, gloomy and tragic. Amazing how the small detail of the person at the door brings the scene to life. This photo tells a story. Love it! :)
