      Extra Info: Braybury Castle was one of the 171 castle class from the stables of the GWR [Great Western Railway] built in 1936 and served very well and favourite of the footplate men.
she was pulling the bristolian in June 1958 and was recorded as traveling at 98 miles per hour with a 100 ton load.
she also pulled the Cheltenham Flyer which was the most fastest route at the time on uk rail network.
withdrawn in 1963 and is now at Birmingham railway society and rated for fast running on Network rail tracks
she was renamed Earl of Edgcumbe who was a Director of the GWR

    I love a good B&W image. I love old trains. Put them together and it become my open favorite.

    I think this is a beautiful photo, but just not buying the "B" thing.... I understand through your extra info. your reasoning but this photo reads "T" train, tracks. Lovely photo though.

    Too bad you couldn't save those blown highlights but you did well to use B&W which lessens the negative impact. That's one powerful little engine! Well composed too.

    What a great old engine. I like the b&w treatment, but it's too bad the highlights are blown. Sometimes it can't be helped.

    That's a very clean old train! Love the composition. I get the impression that the sky was perhaps over-exposed a bit, so use of B/W is a good choice here.
