    well thanks for the comments.
Mrsawyer the dark side is what the bright side looked like before 100 hours of sanding and oiling have to be done to get the colour back.the stern of the boat is usually last as we have to hang on bosuns chairs to reach the parts other cant reach from the quay.
the picture was done earlier this year the lh background is now more interesting. another big boat !!!!
Mepo gets th plank for the pun. as suggested by JadeO

I'd give Mepo the plank for that one. Problem is, he thinks he is on an even keel and so I'm afraid he'll never get board. Most of his comments are rudder nonsense though.

Looks like an interesting ship. However this does not seem to be have been shot from the ideal position. The well=lit side looks good, but the dark rear detracts from the appeal.

I guess one could say it's a stern reminder of the amount of labour required to keep this ship afloat.

I think we've seen her before. Good to see she is so well cared for.

Nice rich, saturated colors. Wish the composition did not include the background on the left.

Beautiful ship, well captured with a great story!

Not the most flattering angle, but certainly shows the hard work of the Matthew's volunteers. Time was when you'd have to throw a penny in the tankards to get that kind of slave labour LOL
