Storm Clouds       ©2014 SteveBee
Panasonic DMC-GX7       2nd place, 197 points
1/1000s, f9, ISO 200, 34mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Raw development in Lightroom       Extra Info: The sky and water are endlessly fascinating to me -- ever changing, always different. This early morning storm clouds were approaching over the water. I think the different layers in the image (lawn, rocks, marsh grass, water, pier, and cloud filled sky) add to the feeling of depth.

Congratulations on a well deserved placement in the challenge. This would be a wall hanger in my house for sure. Your DOF is limitless, and the rocks lead you into the image perfectly. Beautiful image, Steve!

The clouds really bring this photo to life, especially against the beautiful simplicity of the landscape. Perfectly on theme.

Fits the challenge well. Like the contrast of the dark and light clouds.

I agree completely with your sentiments. I think you did well to give dominance to the sky here. Perhaps a panoramic shot would have increased the impact. In my first picks.

Great shot. If its tilted more to the ground i think the rocks would make a great leading line
