I've done that! (left the intended shot in the folder). Welcome to the club.

After several comments I really studied this photo and wondered why it was over exposed when I had worked on it quite a bit. Here is a lesson in naming photos. I thought my title for this one was the worked on one. But no - the final one is sitting in my "Best Of" folder and didn't get sent. Shame/Horror. Thank you for all your comments. I can still feel as though I am there from Autumn this year, when this photo was taken.

Good composition and great timing with the folks in the background perfectly framed.

i've lived on the coast for maybe 45years. and i'm always amazed by photos that friends take when they come to visit. i think... hey, i live here, why haven't i taken that shot. am i that numb to my own environment that i can't see something worth sharing with a photo. (well, not entirely... i have had some great ones with storms and sunrise sunsets, but not many that capture a feeling like this one does).
not sure where it will go in my voting yet but want to let you know i like it a lot.

    Nice pathway.

I like the narrative composition here, especially with the figures on the beach. would it be possible to tone down the surf, as it appears blown out to me.

I wish I was walking down that path as I love beaches :-) . Great scene and timing but the photo looks a bit over exposed on my monitor. Easy to change though. GL.

Very inviting view indeed, nicely composed too. I would have preferred the shade on the trees and path darker to increase the contrast ,though.

Very pretty. The trees and their shadows create a lacy feel. The two figures at the end are perfect.

Very inviting indeed. Good composition. I like the two figures walking on the beach at the end of the path. Just being picky now -- the water is blown out.

with my mobility problems i would avoid the path but then you have a nice picture. a crop of the foreground to remove the big shadow would bring the point of the picture nearer.

I like the sense of excitement evoked by a trip to the beach, but it seems a little over exposed.

Nice composition and framing, if maybe a smidgeon over-exposed. But shooting in bright midday sun background against a darker foreground is one of the most difficult photo situations to attempt.
