thanks for the comments. good news a buyer has been found and apparently retaining the shell.
this picture was taken on a walk around an area i have not been to for some time.
Calicofrog if you shoot in raw you can get a b and white result as well as colour

Top 10 in the last 7 entries is impressive especially given the depth in the field this time out.

Nicely done fc - B&W is not your usual style - but you've aced it.

Starkly beautiful. I hardly ever do B&W myself, but I find myself voting for a lot in this competition, maybe I need to branch out a little...

I would have cropped the whole top of the photo at the middle of the stone wall and then taken the reflection on its own as and flipped it as a pano. It has a much more interesting skyline. I do like the B&W treatment.

I really like this photo, but not because of the subject. Although there's nothing wrong with the composition, I love the B&W processing and that's the primary reason it's one of my favorites.

Nice shot of the building but not very industrial looking. Cropping out much of the empty sky would punch up the visual interest.

Really quite nice play of light and dark and reflection.

Nice shot with a beautiful reflection, but I don't quite see the "industry" part.

You demonstrate great skill with your choice of view over the water on a calm day. I like the black and white treatment. This combination lends grandeur and even beauty to an otherwise ugly subject.

Great composition and detail. Black and white works beautifully here.

Stark, bleak and a bit sad. I like it.

The building reflected in still water has appeal, as well as the B&W treatment - but I would classify your image more "architectural" rather than "industrial". IMO - you also would have had a more impactful image if you had focused more on the building itself, and cropped out some of the extraneous objects around the outside of the frame - especially the amount of white, bleak sky.

Theme - 3 Better for abandoned, than industrial
Technical - 5 Good sharpness, exposure, and tonality
Composition - 4 The reflection in the water is very nice; maybe less of the white sky would be better
Originality - 3
Overall impression - 4

Nice reflection in still water. I'd cut half of sky to get more symetry in pic.

I like the reflection which has been nicely captured but would prefer to see less of the featureless sky. I think B&W for this shot was a good choice

Great shot, it caught my eye immediately. I imagine anything other than central, vertical composition was not possible, but to my mind, a little less sky would improve the horizontal rule of thirds.
