Post-Processing:
in raw convert to B&W using the options available in my converter. A slight rotation (never can seem to get it level) and a slight crop. Convert to tiff and in PS reduce, sharpen and size.
Extra Info:
the view looking across Port Hueneme with the plant in the background.

Thanks for all the comments, kudos and critiques, they are all appreciated, thanks!
In the info it didn't include what lens I used, it was a 400mm, which equals a 640 on my camera. I was out on the opposing jetty from the fishermen which were about 1/3 of a mile away from me. The power station is about 3mi, and the mountain is over 8 mi. away. The picture makes it look like the mountain is much closer than it actually is.
Again, thanks for the comments!

amazing viewpoint, and getting some anglers on those rocks makes it even better.

What an amazing sight and location. I can see why they built this power station where they did. Maybe lacking in a bit of contrast in the top 2/3rds of the photo.

the picture looks old worldly with the fishermen in bottom left. i would have cropped the picture to just have the grey mountains behind losing the sky

I like your composition and the way this shot shows the great contrast between the industrial and natural landscape.

Well composed and executed. Though it's clearly industrial, with the fishermen for a nice contrast, I find the scene a bit bland overall.

I really like the composition and the juxtaposition of the two fishermen against the industrial landscape. I don't find that the B&W treatment puts enough emphasis on the generating equipment. Would love to see the colour version

Wise choice to include the foreground; I'd have cloned out the climbing figure or waited for a more static composition since my eye goes to the subject in motion. Nicely framed and composed.

I like this shot a lot! many layers for your eyes to scan!

Masterful composition. Great subject and I enjoyed the two fishers in the foreground giving it a human touch. Use of black and white really works nicely here

I really like this composition. Placement of the waterline in the lower third of the frame and being able to see over the top of the hills gives very good context, and effectively shows the contrast between the natural and man-made elements in the image.
As it is, however, your eyes are somewhat drawn to the rocks in the foreground....not a desirable effect. Having more contrast in the hills and power plant would probably minimize this effect and put the emphasis where it belongs.
This is one of my favorite images in this challenge.

Theme - 5
Technical - 4 A little more contrast or clarity would make it pop better
Composition - 5 Like the foreground rocks and with fishermen; the mountain provides a simple background
Originality - 4
Overall Impression - 4 Liked it immediately

Nicely composed. Like the human element; us humans, with effort, still can eek out a spot when in the midst of industrial sprawl.

A definite industrial landscape with good foreground and background interest. In my TT.

Nice image; well composed. B&W treatment is OK, but I'd like to see more contrast and play of light. I'm wondering if the color version might be more impactful?

Nice scenery, good exposed. In my T3

One of my favourites. I like the inclusion of the figures on the rocks. It would have been all too easy to find another angle and concentrate and the structure resulting in a less interesting shot in my opinion.

I like this. I think a little more contrast to make it pop would be perfect.
