Ha! Nowhere near bottom 5! I say you were hurt more by the constraints of voters' imagination and ability to interpret imagery than by the image itself. I "get" that it is not a photo of a "road" but it is an artistic interpretation that to me, was bang on topic and allegorical in so many ways beyond the image itself. The path to adulthood, the journey through life, and childhood, such a rich tapestry all congealed in one image!

This is a beautiful picture of the children! I like the choice of black and white. Great focus and contrast. I wish there was more road though. I think a higher angle would've been better for the road challenge.

Pleasing and attractive tones here. Perhaps a higher vantage point would have revealed the road to the viewer. Does not seem to be on theme.

As you can tell I didn't really shoot this for the challenge, but it was another photo shoot that I thought was too cute to pass up.....and yes the kicked sand is my fave part! Thanks to those who liked it, predict bottom five.

Lovely shot of the kids, but the road aspect is very much subordinated. The kicked sand helps a little, but not enough IMO.

Very nice image and the sepia tone works well. However, the "road" in this photo just seems to be an afterthought.....the primary focal point being the children. For this reason, I don't feel this image does a good enough job of meeting the challenge requirements.

Plenty of action and happiness captured here. Great light. I am not sure that the focus is the road.

great black and white finish but a higher view point to get more of the "road"
