There's a lot of life in this shot, from the leaping flames and bubbling water to the kids having fun in the background. Nicely done. |

Well the jury is in and the people are out :-) Thanks for all the comments.
As for level I used the water surface of the fountain to make sure the shot was level - the rest is a slight perspective problem. |

Great subject. It is beautiful. No wonder the people made them keep it. I feel it needs a close crop but can see the difficulties. |

It is an attention grabber! One thought is to shoot from a lower angle, with water and fire in along with as much of the background bldg in (and so nicely distorted by the flame - get as much of the distorted as possible); at the same time, eliminate the distracting people, trees, etc. Would not shoot this that wide to accomplish

One of my favourites and bang on theme. I like the semi transparency of the flame. I don't know whether moving more to your left might have excluded some of the figures that I find distracting. Also the image would be improved by levelling. |

Fire and water certainly are very different, but I don't really see them as opposites exactly. Might have been better shot at night, as here the people, trees, building are distractions. The flames are quite impressive, however. |

Compelling subject that is nicely shot and meets the theme. I do find the people a distraction, however. Some straightening would help, as well. |

I did have some reservations about the people especially as they were not well posed. However I felt the they added some human interest. I also thought the sky added some relief to what otherwise would be a boring masonary background. However I did have the same reservations as you mention and appreciate th comment. |
