Post-Processing: Combined three exposures using HDR software. Applied filter to achieve grungy look. Slight perspective adjustment.       Extra Info: Favorite chew bone of dog that's gone.

Jun 1, 2015		     Thanks for the comments and votes! I had an awful time trying to shoot this with a camera with a stationary LCD display. I wanted to re-shoot on the last day of the entry period, but the rains came.

Enjoyed playing with NIK Color Effects Pro, though the results were not as impressive as I would have liked!

May 31, 2015		     I know how hard it is to lose an old friend, a part of the family. It has been over ten years since I lost Bubba, and I still think of him all the time.

The story behind the picture touched me, but it needs something, some punch. Maybe cropped closer, more contrast, maybe B/W, I'm not exactly sure but it just needs a little something to make it really stand out. I also think it should be a little sharper, after reducing the image to size for the challenge it's always a good idea to sharpen it.

May 31, 2015		     Interesting choice of subject, and I really like the composition.

Not sure whether it needs the filter - I like the colour and tone it has given the picture, but dislike the softness. I would have thought this would have been a good enough image on its own as you've got a strong narrative and an unusual subject.

May 30, 2015		     I honestly don't see how a three-exposure HDR combination did anything for this image. Grunge filter or not, it's not sharp either.
