Crop. Clone some cat hairs. Adjust levels.
Extra Info:
The cat doesn't play by the rules of chess or vanishing points. He really did not like my bishop when I moved it in front of the King! He finished the game with his next move.

BTW when I responded to you on my Main entry and I was referring to Tyler, not Lo! I'm sure Lo can prrr but it is nothing I know about, I swear!

Well I hope you at least got the point :-) I just posted an outtake.
I was going to put in another power line shot but I thought this would be more fun. Got some great comments that made it all worthwhile.

Aha! I should've known this was yours! I must have been catnapping...

Wow! A "chesshire" cat! Fits the theme and well executed.

love the cat
the chess pieces should have been set and then focussed at lowest aperture to soften the result

Thanks for the comments everyone. I appreciate them all. I do agree that this does not produce a "strong" v.p. (vanishing point) as compared to a shot where the orthogonals (v.p. lines) disappear over a distant horizon. I can well understand why that would rank higher. I will post a shot of the Cat-sperov's next move in the out takes.
Neat: Maybe you did not read the whole challenge description. It clearly stated that the lines did not have to meet at the horizon. Also in the first entry in this forum I clarified that the v.p. did not have to be visible.
A chess board is a perfect example of orthogonals and I used it in teaching perspective many times simple because it is right there in front of you and the student does not have to figure out lines along a road or other landscape feature. The lines dividing the squares on the board are straight and parallel. They make perfect orthogonals.
It's fun to have them measure the height of the different chess pieces and then see what the difference is right on the same board. In my entry the pawn at the front right is just about twice as high as the pawn near the back rank. Making it so obvious why and how orthogonal lines are used. You can't draw an orthogonals between the two white pawns I mentioned because they are not on the same horizontal plane. You can draw one on the three black pawns on the left. This in itself is another lesson on using orthogonals which are the key to perspective representation.
In my entry, if you extend the orthogonals you will find they meet at the v.p. that is a long way behind the cat's head on a level slightly above and to the left of his eye.
Sorry to go on about this but I love teaching students how to draw with correct perspective and I love it even more when their eyes light up and they say "I get it!"
It's a challenge to make such a difficult mathematical subject interesting and understandable. I know that it is often not taught correctly with the result that the students go away with completely false ideas.
Thanks again for the comments everyone and all the good discussion in the forum.

Nice sharp photo, the cat is lovely, but I've looked high and low but can't see a vanishing point, sorry.

Nice quality with iso1600, but weak to theme.

Is the cats name Vanishing Point? It does appear to be the focus of attention.

Wonderful photo but too many others ranked ahead for having a more definitive VP.

Not enough of a vanishing point to be much on theme, IMO.

Phil: Good One!! I'll pass it on to his owner. This is Tyler a cat we babysit regularly.

Great photo. Is it the famous Russian grand master 'Cat-sperov'?
