this was a difficult bit of focussing if used on anything other tan manual as there are so many bits to focus on

Nice idea, but figures are too over-exposed and out of focus.

You upped the contrast! Really??? Already more than enough for my taste I think.

I imagine others will be telling you most of the same things. Better to shoot without the flash at a higher ISO or find some good natural light, just don't use flash. Also the background is noticeably pixelated.

I think the composition could be very attractive but the blown highlights prevent us from seeing any detail in the statues and I need that to appreciate the image. The pixelation is very heavy so it helps obscure the little detail that is visible. I've tried viewing this on different monitors but I still can't see any detail. Perhaps the monitor you are using needs calibration. I'm sorry I can't be more positive, it's a shame to see what could be a good shot spoiled by the camera settings.

Unfortunately any detail has been lost because of over exposure.

Anthony - I think for macro shot, it had to be very close

Not sure what happened here. The banding and pixelation is very severe, the details in the white statues are totally washed out. I agree the shadow does add interest, but it appears the image is very badly converted. Maybe this was a technical issue when exported or even uploading to the site? This looks like a jpeg at a very low quality.

Think this could be better without the over processing.
