Post-Processing: Only minimally increased exposure & clarity.       Extra Info: I didn't see the scattered pollen until I looked at the photo on computer.

    The white background is effective in bringing out the red.

    My sense is that any object looks better if it has room to 'grow' into the frame. Somewhat akin to allowing people or animals to move into the frame. In this case, I'd prefer to see the centre of the flower in the lower third of the frame. I also think the white background is a mistake as it's like looking into oncoming headlights - the white area makes it more difficult for us to see the dark center which is far more interesting. If you use your hands to crop the white areas, the details and various colours pop out. Beautiful choice for the challenge, I've never seen a flower with such a variety of shapes and colours in the centre.

    Stunning. As you mentioned the pollen is a feature of this photo. I also love the tones here. Well Done. I could critique the strong white background, but rest of the image is so strong it doesn't bug me too much.

    Like the reds in the flower, but the white background draws the eye away; a darker color might have been better. The pollen certainly is interesting, but to me it makes the scene look messy.
