A little late but I just got back.
Because your quality of photos is so good I wanted to add a constructive critique. I think the vignette is overdone and detracts a lot. Akebono once commented helpfully on one of my entries to the same effect and I've never tried the white vignette again without considering very carefully whether it "cheapens" the image. I think it does so here and detracts. You don't need that "gimmick" with what you captured here. The image would stand well on its own.
As a further complete aside, I was away so couldn't vote but frankly I don't think this image, like many other entries that ranked well, would qualify in my books as a macro image.

Great finish SteveBee, and so appropriate for you with the insect included.

(Like the new touch in displaying your post-processing.)

Beautiful! Amazing that you have so much detail in the bee while his wingless appearance is an indication of how fast those wings were beating.

    nice flower and pollinater together
the crop is too wide and should i feel have been a square to remove all the background and concentrated on the insect and the stmen in the flower head

I love the look of the highlight vignette. I must try that one day. I think I would have sharpened the bee a little but that's just me.

Amazing capture. The flower is beautifully detailed, and I like the way the blurred background and vignette focus attention on the subject. High in my faves.

Fantastic moment you captured here. I mean the moment is perfect, to get the bee carrying the pollen at this angle is outstanding. On a critical level, the bee is slightly out of focus, but I can imagine that this was a "one time opportunity", but what is more distracting is the white vignette. Your image is such a beautiful display of nature, but the vignette remove from that authenticity. I would suggest that your drop the vignette about 2/3 at minimum, and more feathered. The flower is so big and centred that the petals will draw the viewers eye in plenty without the need for such a strong vignette. Also keep in mind that a white vignette carries more "unnatural" weight than a dark one, so maybe with a slight dark vignette but slightly off centre, with more dark on the left than right... This will create an effect that it is more dark under a flower than above it and will create direction. The darker vignette might draw emphasis to the subtle shade of grey in the petals. I would love to see some alternatives to this edit in the outtakes.

A classic close-up topic, very well executed.

Stunningly bee-utiful! I'm surprised that a Lumix at f14 produced such a nicely blurred background. I'll be waiting to see what camera was used here. The vignette is nicely done.

Overall colors are very pleasing. I also like the light vignette you applied.

Really nice in focus flower, if only you had the bee so sharp. I know very difficult to do. I don't like the white vignette though.

While admitting that the bee deserves to be there for me for me, it showing slight movement or slightly out of focus it spoils the otherwise excellent photo.
