Panasonic DMC-GX7       8th place, 114 points
1/1000s, f6.3, ISO 250, 240mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Shot in color mode, then converted to BW using the software's built in conversion tool. Further adjusted brightness, contrast and light levels. Cropped. Denoised and sharpened. Finally resized.       Extra Info: Not sure what made me pick this photo to convert to B/W, but I rather liked the result.

Ysal, really loved this one.... Some however I sorted all my entries in my favourites but forgot to click the "vote" button. This would have ranked very high... 1 or 2

Simple scene, nicely done photo. I like the diagonal leading up to the only sharply focused light. The out of focus background has interest in its dapple of light and shade but doesn't compete with the subject. In my favourites.

Such a simple shot but it works so very well. The fading dof is excellent and makes the whole thing work. High in my picks. Kudos.

Nice high key B&W. Just shows how effective simple things can be.

The more I looked at this image the better I liked it. I like the composition and lighting. In my TT.

Beautifully done. Love the detail in the nearest globe, and shallow DOF for the others. Well executed and composed!

I like the higgledy-piggledy arrangement of the bulbs. I would have liked to see at least the second bulb in focus as well. Right now the line draws my eye away from the only crystal clear element in the photo, which is a shame since it has lovely detail.

The differing angles of the bulbs really makes this work - nice composition. A simple idea very well executed.

A good composition and effective use of DOF, turns everyday objects into a compelling image.

You have the chance for a great photo here but as is I feel it is a good study. Not sure how to improve excepting maybe having every bulb as clear or shooting the line on a more acute angle.

very nicely constructed image, I imagine the b&w beats the colour version. I like the depth of field.

the crop as it stands has a large area top left of white
a crop to remove the two bulbs on the left hand side allowing the grey background to behind all the bulbs
