Thanks ysal. It was a good surprise. I had to go a long way for this but it now feels worthwhile.

I notice the excellent sharpness is confined to the LH side of the image, I presume this is a result of the crop. Well composed, I like the way my eye is led from the left into the picture.

Very nice, good comp and B&W conversion.

I like the framing and composition, strong line to the horizon and the sails in the distance also add a little "something" a good entry & in my tt.

Outstanding composition. I love the way the wood leads the eye out to the water. The lighting is perfect to show the weathered nature of the old pier (I guess).

Well exposed and captured. When you have a leading line from one corner to the opposite corner, it generally leads the viewer eye straight out of the picture on the other end. It is still a good capture, and an effective black and white.

Good use of the theme and nice leading line into the shot. You've also captured the texture and grain of the wood.
I can't get "Under the Boardwalk" out of my head, in my T5.

Being a thousand miles inland after 50 years at sea I always enjoy Seascapes and this is a nice one. High on my list. Thank you.

Nicely composed with that strong diagonal leading the eye to the end of the pylons, but not out of the picture. I like the way the lines of those cross beams become continued by the the waves. Some nice texture going on in the foreground. In my favourites.

The diagonal line from left to right really draws the eye into the photo. You've done a great job of adjusting the exposure considering the overcast sky.

Good, simple composition - striking image. Some highlights may be blown, esp. at horizon, but doesn't really detract. Very nice!

Nice but your horizon is off a hair. I think the diagonal and hills on the left make it look more off than it is. Still a nice effort!

    1ST IMPRESION 4/5
COMPOSITION 5/5
LIGHT 4/5
FOCUS 5/5

STRONG IMAGE... SKY AND SEA ON LEFT LOOK GOOD... TOP OF BEAM IS A BIT SOFT... BOTTOM RIGHT TO OPEN?

I am not a fan of the pontoon shot as they don't go anywhere and usually with water a still as glass.
this one is different as it provides a diagonal frame for the sea and the boats on the horizon. it is either old or been damaged by the continuous movement of the sea reminding us of its destructive power
pleased that you started with a monochrome image and i may have gone for higher contrast

Nice composition, and effective in BW.
