A Religious Experience       ©2016 Anthony Comyn
NIKON D750       1st place, 283 points
1/5s, f14, ISO 100, 66mm, Aperture Priority, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: A composite of 5 photographs mainly used to incorporate some sharp and some moving people however +-90% of this entry is from 1 photo and the 10% is from the other photos of the same scene just seconds apart, conversion to B&W in main software so I could adjust the colour levels, as there is 2 coloured light sources, and upped the orange to equalise the light luminance. Curve adjustments, and slight cropping as I was using a limiting zoom lens and and wanted the people a little bigger, but didn't want to get too close as to influence the flow of people.       Extra Info: A busy destination where tourists (and photographers :-)) are invited to experience this magnificent religious establishment.

This is a fantastic shot, and your artwork both in the photography and in the PP certainly got the place it deserved - congrats!

Nice. I really like how some of the people are in motion. All your efforts paid off.

Lovely shot! Beautiful architecture, light, reflections, silhouettes of people, silhouettes of ghosts. High in my favourites.

Super shot, all your hard work paid off. I'd suggest cropping of the section with the three inactive people on the left. The eye flows better without that whole area. All the other figures add to the photo and the effect is excellent.

I love the variety of some people blurred, while others are still. The lighting, contrast and reflections really make this one stand out!

Nice work with the pp. The detail in the carving is wonderful, and the reflections on the floor are really beautiful. I'd hate to have to polish it!
Combining the still and moving figures was an excellent idea.

I love the way you have captured the people moving. This is well composed and lit. In my TT. Gret job.

    Thanks for all the comments.

Artsy: I do find it interesting that you perceive this as a lot of work : ). Not saying that it isn't but what if I had to write:

B&W
Colour contribution
Curves
Composite 5 image to include blur
Cropped

----Would it still seems like a lot of work? The difference is I decided to explain why I did it, not only what I did...

I don't mind your comment, it is just an interesting observation. Maybe I am mistaken.

Good composition - interesting that nearly everyone on the left side is standing still, while those on the right are in motion.

the use of the shutter speed to make some of the people "move" works so well here

Gorgeous. I realize you had a fantastic subject to start with, but the "added" people in various level of movement is very effective. The reflective floor also adds a lot. One of my top picks.
