Thank you all for votes, comments and suggestions. It's always good to find out how others see things. I particularly value suggestions about different possibilities with regard to cropping - worth trying and seeing how I like the results .

My #3 pick and I am pleased to see my top three picks ranked ahead of my entry. In such a narrow point spread that just makes me feel good! Congrats on a fine photo!

Lovely use of black and white to illustrate the millennium generation. Good focus and composition.

    well done on original theme
the use of black and white make the shot timeless except for the jazzy t shirt
the tree boughs frame this one giving one an idea on how big the tree is

Great shot - I love the natural pose and the play of light in the leaves and on his face. Great detail, and a good choice for B&W

There is a softness to this image, which I would think was added PP. But I don't see any details of it. I like the composition, and the expression. In my TT.

Very nice portrait. While it doesn't really have much to make me think "millennial", maybe that was your point.

I agree with your sentiments although I often wonder when I see so many kids totally addicted to their electronics. Great to see them enjoy things like climbing if they are given the chance. I like this shot and your B&W treatment but I think it can be so much better if you crop just below his leg so that the branch he is sitting on becomes the lower frame of the photo. That way the tree frames him beautifully. Still in my favs. Kudos to your tree climber.

A nice portrait but I would have cropped this one tight (we'd still know he was in a tree), or just shoot a chest up shot which might even be better. As good as this is, I feel it is a missed chance for a stunning bust shot (chest up shot).

COMPOSITION 5/5
LIGHTING 4.5/5
FOCUS 5/5
... very nice B&W...a lot going on here but the grey tree fades back to highlight the boy and his dark clothes...bottom left blow out catch's my eye, not noticeable at first, its when studying the photo that it shows itself.
