Panasonic DMC-GX7       11th place, 66 points
1/200s, f7.1, ISO 125, 28mm, Aperture Priority, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: levels; increased shadows, increased highlights, increased contrast; transform - skew; unsharp mask; cloned out some distracting objects.       Extra Info: Michael Jordon is arguably the best, or certainly one of the top 5, individual(s) to play basketball. He was bigger than life on the court.

Very good detail in the statue but can't help feel I would have preferred it from the front unless the background was very distracting. GL.

I saw the title first and then thought "that's not Michael Jackson! LOL). GL.

Perfect choice of camera angle makes this shot. I'm also happy you kept the statue dark, it helps to make it stand out with strength.

Big star, big statue, so meets the challenge twice. In my tt.

Crop out that chain link fence in the background, and you've got a winner here.

I like the angle of the shot, and the composition. The cloning is a bit obvious, and therefore distracting.

Suits to the topic. Well composed.

Well captured.. low angle keeping sky a major part of the background seems to add hight to the jump shot...taken from the back also added to this photo... in TT

This has all the elements of a striking shot but here is why it didn't make my top five....The objects like the fence, trees, tower in the background all pull my eye away from where it has to be, skyward. The great diagonal composition which stretches from corner to corner beautifully enhances the sculpture and make a static object come alive....but you can't help but notice the tree, the foot is overlapping it and from there you eye goes down down down instead of skyward...wondrous blue tint in the sculpture, wondrous dark vs light in the earthly metal against the ethereal sky....and then the green intruders! Too bad. It's a great shot otherwise.

Very iconic pose. I like the angle you picked for this topic. In my TT. I wonder how it would have looked without the fance and ground along the bottom. The clouds and sky look a bit odd, perhaps something was cloned out.

on theme but disappointed that the back has been shown. this well have been unavoidable due to background.

Nicely composed; the low angle gives a good sense of bigness. Fence is rather distracting; perhaps a larger aperture would throw it out of focus?
