Cuddle in the rain       ©2016 babysister
Panasonic DMC-GX7       6th place, 109 points
1/50s, f5.6, ISO 800, 623mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Cropped, increased exposure and sharpened.       Extra Info: These doves were preening themselves in the heavy rain. I begged them to keep still while I got the camera and they cooperated. You can see the rain in the shadows and the spots on the tail feathers of the nearest dove.

Thanks ysal, and thanks for your vote.
Cookiejar: I saw these doves and thought they were cute so took the photo. It wasn't until later in the day that I saw it on screen and realised that it fitted the new challenge. I had to check the challenge dates to make sure it came within the time period as it was the day the challenge was announced. Thanks for your vote!

The native pigeons do this at my place too. I gave this shot my first preference. I am surprised you took a photo of birds!

I really, really like this shot. Nice PP to bring out the details of the doves. All the lines are great too. My #3.

From the thumbnail I thought these were two snails on a leaf! I must get glasses LOL. GL.

Beautiful muted colour, soft and hard leading lines and a reflection and the sense of a moment in time - what's not to like!

Pretty pair. I'd crop just past the third bolt counting from the right.

Nice spotting. I think the cooing couple is a bit lost in the expanse of corrugated steel, but the idea is great, and a bit of a crop would make all the difference.

I'd suggest less roof & more bird. Either a square format or using the rule of thirds to make the birds more predominant. I love the softness and the light tones. The lines of the roof bring your eye to the birds beautifully. Kudos for shooting in the rain, it works very well. In my tt.

I like the subtle tones, composition, sharpness on the birds, and importantly, great leading lines.

Excellent use of LLs. Consider increasing contrast to make the birds stand out more.

The doves are adorable (and really nicely exposed), and I love the way all the lines seem to point towards them. Very high in my TT.

I really like the way the diagonal corrugations point to the birds from different directions. The neutral colour palette is very pleasing too. High in my favourites.

Nice photo... admire perseverance of you and the doves.. the light grey background of the roof makes for the doves to stand out.. in top 5
