Extra Info: This is my re-interpretation of Ambakers final challenge entry - #170 Rule of thirds, again.
It wasn't one of his more successful photos so I listened to peoples comments on his photo when taking and processing my version of it.
I hope this is now close to how people would have like to have seen Ambaker's original.
RIP Alex.

I voted #1 for this. This complemented the theme well, perfect mood for the theme. I think this one should swap for the first place for sheer photographic quality.

I really love this... You watched and listened well to the comments. Reflections in the eyes always difficult to eliminate. I suggest cloning this out in PP. Still a fantastic take on Ambakers original.

This is a wonderful re-creation of AMBaker's entry. The extra detail really adds to the already perfect composition.

I'm glad you think so. Thank you.

I could just make out the shape of the nose in the original so tried to crop it similarly. Smudge (my cat) was not at all keen on a camera being shoved in here face when she was trying to have a cat nap on the windowsill LOL .

I think Alex would have liked your efforts in replicating this photo.

I liked ambaker's original for its drama, and appreciate the way you have worked with the feedback and his original idea.
this retains the intrigue of the original, and the crop to the cat's nose adds another element that helps with orientation.

Thank you for the kind comments.

aoc46 - I did consider trying to clone out the 'whisker' but decided to leave it there as a natural feature as I wasn't planning to replicate Alex's original photo exactly.

Nice re-do of AMB's shot. Like the crisp detail in the fur, but wish that one curving, out-of-place whisker weren't there.

This reminds me a lot of his Thirds entry. Great "eye".
