Thank you for the comments and votes, everyone.

Ysal, I love the idea of charity sponsored ducks competing in the river. This was nothing so noble. It was just a side-show alley money trap at the show. Ducks are 'swimming' in a narrow channel. I took four shots and chose the one that happened to have a bit of compositional merit.

Oh you came second, woot! I'm not a really big fan of yellow rubber duckys, but I have to admit that you did this quite well.

Love the slightly panicked expressions - and the blue works really well with the yellow and orange.

I've been to fundraisers when you sponsor a "duck", then they release them all into a river. Winning duck gets a prize and the rest of the money goes to charity. I wonder if this was a similar event? You can't help but smile at those cheerful ducks!

Very nice, especially how you've made one duck stand out amid all that sameness.

Fantastic shot. Colour contrast is great, focus and composition. It would be tempting to have the big one in the middle - a trap well avoided.

WOW Perfectly done. I'm sure you could never stage such a composition but every little piece is important to the whole. The duck that is the main focus is in a great position, straight and strong. The supporting cast are bobbing in every possible attitude which lends interest and the area of open water keeps drawing our eye back to the main duck. Finally the waves show that this was in no way posed - you just picked exactly the right moment. Kudos.
