Very nice use of monochrome. Nice contrast to the photos from the north! Thanks for choosing a challenging theme!!!

loose my subjects a bit, but, maybe that's the point: they're lost in the fun too I presume

Lo: The sparkle showed up better in the B&W which is partly why I chose that. It also made the upper background less distracting. On top of that I am a bit of a sucker for B&W photos! It comes from watching my father doing his photos in the dark room and being told how black and white had many shades.

Really love the abstract quality of this, very well done.

This is every child's dream, and these guys are right into it. I love the detail. Something makes me wish I was seeing blue water, but I'm sure you had your reasons for using B&W Would love to see the orginal

I like the subject and the idea, but for me the composition doesn't quite work, maybe reversed?

This is a fantastic image, composition is excellent and effect is excellent. I feel it meets the challenge nicely. Well done.

Thanks Mazarak. I thought of that but realised that doing that would put the dominant pole very close to the centre.

Great subject matter - those fountains are a lot of fun! I might have cropped it to lose some of the fountains on the left, and gone for a more traditional rule of thirds composition...

The kids and the water are great, but the lattice structures behind compete way too much. Is the fountain lit at night, and the lattice not (or less so)?
If so, shooting then might give a really neat result.
