Panasonic DMC-GF1       10th place, 42 points
1/20s, f2.8, ISO 125, 120mm, Aperture Priority, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Cropped, adjusted tone, enhanced saturation, sharpened, resized.       Extra Info: Not too proud of this, but it seems to fit the challenge definition best out of all the other shots I tried. Tiny sparkly things I picked up at the crafts store. These things get everywhere, I had to wear gloves so not to spread it to everything I touch!

Thanks Bernie, glitter and tiny stars I picked up at the craft store. I'm still frustrated that I couldn't capture the real look, which was very pretty. The reflection seemed to really throw off the camera. The real thing is more of a aqua color. I tried to correct the color but this green version seemed to fit the season better so I left it.

So, this was your idea you mentioned in the forum! Nice save!!!
Are the safety pins underneath the pile?

Thank you for your comments. The actual subject was really pretty but I just couldn't capture it with the camera.

I think you should be proud of this photo. You've captured the theme beautifully with interesting DOF and loads of colour.

Cleverly taken, but not very interesting i'm afraid. Maybe one star of a different colour as a focus?

Lots of stars, but the sparkle doesn't really come through.

Your shallow depth of field adds to the mystery, I liken the rich greens and silvery effect. Maybe not something you too proud of, but it works.

Really like the abstract approach to the theme, and the gorgeous bokeh. In my TT...
