    Gday Cookie
Yes I did see those lights . In fact I investigated shooting them on the day , but . The lighting was just right on the one I did shoot and would have lost the light had I moved on . Will have to go back and look around , lots to shoot around both areas
Cheers
Jeff

Hi Jeff this is the light design on the treasury building, the parliament ones are a similar but different design.

Thank you everyone . Yes aoc46 I did several different angles , around 4 or five , but . Unfortunately I have deleted them and use a delete program to completely delete and remove anything from my system . Having said that , the shot I entered was the standout . Thanks to all again >jeff

The balance in this photo is wonderful; the dark street lamp against the light, the soft leaves offsetting the hard metal post. Great composition and beautiful exposure.

I like the balance of the tree, the interesting shape of the lamp, and the positioning of the sun

A beautiful light. the blowout from the sun bothers me a little. By the way a friend of mine has just tendered to repair the sister lights on the treasury building.

Great composition here and a very interestingly shaped subject - perfect for a silhouette. The starburst works well too...

Very nice - did you try having the sun shine through one of the globes?

Wonderful rule of thirds composition with the tree line adding good directional support and balance. I'm so glad you avoided the obvious shot of having the light completely behind the lamp post. Kudos!
