Stick with what I think is the best approach, NEAT. Show us what resonates with you, not what might score well. Your entries are wonderful going that route...

wow, another pro shot from one of my favorite members.
i might have wanted the shot from further back, assuming no other people in the shot. just my thoughts.
lovely photo and i'm sure the family is appreciative of your talent.

Thanks for the critic and nice comments, I actually had better photos for the theme that would've scored better but this resonated with me more.

Taken during a family photo shoot.

It's wonderful how children can get caught up in the simple pleasures of watching a leaf float in the water. Nice choice to use sepia - it gives a timeless look.

A delightful image reminiscent of solitary childhood play created from whatever is at hand.

Absolutely adorable. Not saying solitude to me. Composition might feel more balanced with girl shifted left.

I think I would have positioned the girl more to the left in the picture.

Beautiful image of a little girl! Well done in sepia. I think more space behind her (wider crop) if it is not cluttered, would have added to the sense of solitude.

Aghh funny two comments so far about the crop, I actually did crop this in tight to emphasise her face, but oh well can't always get it right :)

    Meets the challenge
Like the sepia toning making it timeless due to the child's outfit/shoes
A wider crop to make more the negative space around her

Beautiful. Would have liked a bit more space in front of the girl to really show she was alone. I keep thinking there is someone right there waiting to catch her if she falls in.
