With or without the bench, a winning photo!

Great finish Nuevito. What a wonderful spot to sit and rest a while.

nuevito, sorry i did not enter or vote but wanted to comment on this. i really like it but felt that the bench is robbing the composition and doesn't need to be there. that and little annoyance that the mountain top is clipped. really a fantastic location.
one suggestion (imho).... i find that my landscape shots are better composed when i crouch down. it changes your framing perspective so your foreground is somewhat minimized. and in this case you might have felt that the bench was overpowering and framed thing differently.
again, great location and fine finish in challenge.

Glad to see you back, and fitting right in where you left off, in the top 5.

Certainly fits the theme. I am curious as to why you clipped the top of the mountain and the bottom of the bench. By the way, even without the bench, your photo says "solitude" with the distant building dwarfed by the huge mountains. In my favs.

I think I'd prefer it without the bench but it's in my tt anyway. That cottage/cabin looks like a wonderful place to spend some time.

What a beautiful, serene looking place. In my tt.

I'm not wild about the tight crop, as I sort of miss the top of the mountain. Also, for me , the house and the bench compete for attention in a rather distracting way. I think I prefer the shot with the house cloned out. However, having said all that, I still find this shot quite appealing, and it makes my favourites.

meets the criteria of the challenge
get a rest before the last rush to the cottage

What an incredible view. It would be wonderful to sit outside with a cup of hot coffee and just breathe in the solitude and fresh air. Nicely composed and taken.

Beautiful. The house provides the implied human presence. I think the seat is not needed.

I think that this really is well thought out and conveys the theme nicely. My small quarrels are the mountain top is cut off and so is the bottom of the bench. Otherwise this would be perfect for the theme.

If possible, I would have composed without the bench and more water in shot. This might have also afforded you opportunity to not cut off top of the beautiful mountains. There are plenty of times I'd like to find my house in a location like this though!

    Beautiful view. Well composed.

Yeah, I'm realizing that the bench shouldn't be there, indeed . I have another pictures without it but my thinking when choosing this was try to transmite a sensation of loneliness.

Thanks for your comments =)

This one should have been very high on my list if the bench in the foreground was not there.
I think the bench sort of "take away" the interest from the little house, which I think should be the point of interest in this photo....
No offense, and excuse me for my bad english ...

I think you could almost get away without the bench. The distant cottage alone really conveys a sense of solitude to me. Beautiful shot, either way.

I was really upset with this one. The seat is the main subject but your title suggests it is the house. Cut out the seat and it is fantastic to my eye. It would have been my top pick.
