x-ray nautilus       ©2017 elliott
Canon EOS M       4th place, 146 points
1/500s, f5.6, ISO 250, 416mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: crop, desaturate, negative, add slight green, clone out few distractions       Extra Info: you'd think you might pick up a used x-ray machine cheap on ebay now that ct scan machines do all that with more precision. tried to mimic that look. always fascinated with the patterns in this type of shell.

This is really beautiful - the green tint really added the final touch. Congratulations on two in the top five.

Congrats on your double top 5! Neat idea. I had no idea it was a negative.

I like your treatment of the nautilus shell. You've done a great job of mimicking the X-ray and of showing its beautiful construction.

Interesting picture. How about to crop to a square? In my favorites.

This is an interesting find for the challenge. I'll be marking "Subscribe" on this entry, so I can be sure to check back to see what you did to prepare this photo.
I do think I'd like it even more with less negative space.

I like this treatment, it does look like X-ray. The placement of the shell is a bit odd to me, but still in my TT.
