Thanks for your comments. It was the coldest July morning in that area for 78 years. I went away again this weekend and made sure I had thermals on plus hot drink and GLOVES. My finger and toes lost all feeling taking this. I had to use the side of my finger to manipulate the camera as I couldn't bend the fingers. Walking to the lookout through the bush in the dark was not much fun either.

Congrats on 3rd. This ended up my top pick. I love the water! A lovely mid-way between milky and stop-action, and the colour is gorgeous.

I love this image. Wonderful place and wonderful timing, with the sun just touching the top of the cliffs and splashing those warm colors...
Don't know how much have you pushed the tones in post-processing, but I really like them, saturated but not really overdone... Congrats, your efforts paid off beautifully!

interesting image, the light hitting the tops of islands is a nice touch.(nit picking you might try cropping out left and bottom to help bring the viewers eye to the main subject) in my TT

I can imagine you were glad to see the sunlight topping the rock towers. Congrats on your 'Stickability' as Baden Powel called it. I'm not sure I would have lasted :-) I like the slight blur in the ocean due to your shutter speed, I think it gives the shot more life.

South coast of Victoria Australia. They are named the twelve apostles - now only 8 left standing. You'll fine them on the web.
I did get a bit more sun but liked this photo better.
I took some on a faster shutter and they worked but I have seen hundreds of photos taken here and was looking for the "different" one.
I used an ND filter to slow the water down. Many people take it with milky water but I decided to be different as I loved the patterns in the water.

Nicely composed. I sense this image is a bit over-exposed. Otherwise it is extremely effective. I like how the rocks lead you out of the image. Well done.

Impressive place. Might consider waiting for a little more sunlight on the rocks (along with bringing warmer clothes and a hot beverage).

Well worth the wait. Very attractive shot. I love the blue, and the way the line of rock formations gives a nice depth to the shot.

Looks like an attempt was made to smooth the water with long exposure, but too short to do much. Sounds like you made a heroic effort to get the shot. It's a heroic scene for sure. I'm not sure that sunrise is the best time of day based on direction of the light.

Such unusual natural formation. The 1 second exposure gave the ocean waves the cloudy look. Were you going for that? I'm curious how a faster shutter speed would have resulted in.

I've been here numerous times but never at dawn. This looks so lovely. Worth the wait in the cold? High in my faves.
