Post-Processing:
Transform perspective, crop, Topaz studio CSHDR, select blue sky, Topaz denoise, adjust brightness/contrast.
Extra Info:
The be-ribboning of certain church fences is the symbol of Loud Fence, a movement offering solidarity with the victims of pedophile priests. Unfortunately there was a whole ring of them operating in my city, and the church's response was to hush it up, moving the offending priests to different parishes where they continued to abuse. There has been a royal commission into the case, numerous priests have gone to jail and compensation is being awarded to the surviving victims (many have committed suicide). It's not over yet. A very senior cardinal, recalled from Rome, will be fronting court later this year.

Looks like a bit more contrast may have been needed here. Good find. There is something about this building next to palm trees that surprises me a bit. I suppose that is because it looks like an old-world building.
Sad story.

Well composed and the message is very important. I would have liked the foreground made lighter to show off the stone work on the front of the cathedral and make the streamers brighter.

Such a sad story, bright ribbons are poignant, I wonder if it brings any sense of support and closure. Thank you for sharing this.

You've taken a lovely photo of this beautiful old church, but I think I would have narrowed the view to the front in order to make the ribbons more prominent. What a comfort this support must be to the victims and their families.

Interesting explanation but the Church itself is fairly well taken. Nice sky.

I wish the ribbons were more prominent. The palm trees are beautiful but perhaps not necessary for this challenge. In my tt as an unusual but significant entry for the challenge.

The image is nice and makes my top ten. But, challenge apart, many, many thanks for sharing this with us. The process is widely covered in Europe too, but I didn't know about Loud Fence, for example, and I think that such movements are really important too and that they need to be shared and supported. Thanks for letting me /us to know about this, it surely brings some very much needed solidarity feelings to so many victims.

Nicely balanced photograph of the Cathedral with an interesting story.

The ribbons tell a grim story; I saw them as distractions until I read the info. Great shot with the sun lighting up the side of the church.
High in my list.

A nice post card shot -- better if the light were on the front of the church. Ordinary composition. The ribbons do not stand out as the subject of the photo as the title implies
