Thanks for your votes and comments everyone. This unused station in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, is a favorite for local photographers as the line hasnt been used for a looong time so it's perfectly safe to wonder anywhere. My daughter, Meg, was a very cooperative and patient model. We had limited time to shoot so the clouds were a timely bonus. Thanks again.

Congratulations! This is really excellent. There is so much expression in her stance.

Black and white is a good choice for this nostalgic shot. It reminds me of standing on a country platform waiting for the train to take us (in two stages) to visit my grandparents. Oh, such a long time ago ~ 65 years. Thanks for the memories.

it might be a long wait. like the framing of the redundant station

Nice shot. She looks as if she thinks she sees it coming, but judging by all the weeds in the track way, she may have to wait quite a while.

Wonderful shot with possibly some interesting back story. I'm not sure if this is a working station based on weeds growing on the tracks, but there is still a lot of drama. Her dress seems out of place a little bit, but I still love the shot.

Good one. By the look of the track, I'd say she has a long wait :-)

I have done this many times. It is not safe but patience is in short supply. Nicely composed with great parallel and leading lines.

I really like the sense of expectation in her stance and gaze. Great capture. The sky is alive, and the tracks lead the eye inwards.

Good story-telling image. Well composed, good lines. Nice clouds in sky. Too bad the light leaves her face in the shadows. Light-colored clothing would help make her stand out better from the background.

Yikes, get off that track! Wonderful sky helps to lift this composition into the dramatic.
