Entry 16 of 18

crab's eye view       ©2020 rd52
Canon EOS 7D       16th place, 37 points
1/1250s, f8, ISO 320, ?, Shutter Priority, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: In Affinity, convert raw, crop and rotate, clone out some distractions in the sand, lighten the sand with the dodge brush. Reduced to size then used Nik sharpening.       Extra Info: The low view looking back at the houses while walking on the beach after a storm.

I know this has been taken from a low angle, but the resulting image doesn't really benefit from it.

Interesting point of view but it looks like I'm above the house and that is troublesome for "low angle".

The foreshortening gives an interesting perspective. One can imagine a house with the sand blown up to roof level.

This point of view makes it seem as though the house is buried in the sand.

My sense is that the colours a quite "washed" which may be fine and in keeping with a tropical setting but the general composition brings trouble. The image is almost bisected in the middle and that "mid-line" might be better place about a third of the way from the bottom. The subject itself doesn't excite me much though there is a lot of promise in the general presentation or "look" you have put together here.

It's startling to see a roof and the ground with no house in between. There's a nice rhythm to the position of the trees. Other than that, i don't find a lot here to hold the viewer's attention.

I like the idea; however, the subject matter seems a bit strange. Do I focus on the roof, sand, or palm trees? The out of focus sand in the foreground is disturbing. Nonetheless in my TT's.
