Extra Info:
I hesitated for a long time between this photo (the original) and its variant cropped on the middle of the flower and the insect. Details are more visible on the crop but I think the non-cropped version gives more the impression of a high angle of view...

My #1. Gorgeous shot with an interesting bug.

To crop or not to crop? I can understand your dilemma. Still, it's lovely either way. What a stunning little insect! Well up in faves.

Beautifully taken - the detail in great - Not being much of a fan of bugs, I find this crop quite beautiful, specially with the blurred background to make the subject stand out.

Excellent shot. The irridencent green bug is really interesting. I like the soft light too. I think either crop is legitimate, but I like this one. I might have simple cropped this to a 1:1 ratio because that would work well with the circular shape of the flower and add even more symmetry to the image.

Let's see the cropped in outtakes. Nice detail. High interest. Technically excellent. My no. 3

I like that you can see other daisies giving a sense of depth.
Lovely bright metallic-looking shine on the bug

Interesting bug, great colors and very well shot. I think that for the circumstances, you made the right choice of the two crops, but I'd consider square as well.

a great result...cropping can be a killer but this one works for all the reasons stated in info.
