Lol at your notes! My son sent me an email to show me the 'corona virus tree' growing outside his window. Great textures.

Much of the photo seems overexposed, but that is the area my eyes are drawn to. It took a while for my eyes to focus on the well-exposed areas. Perhaps some color would have helped reveal more of the subject???

This is a fascinating construct - the intricacy is beautiful. I find the lighting and monochrome treatment a bit harsh - would love to see the pod in its original colour.

Definitely lots of texture. The lighting seems really harsh.

Quite an interesting and complex object.

I'm puzzled by the combination of parameters which seem to be making very odd tradeoffs for no apparent reason.
- ISO 1600 (Trading decreased dynamic range and increased noise for what?)
- f22 (Because of diffraction effects, trading decrease sharpness and resolution, Why?)
- 1/20s (Apparently necessitated by f22 aperture setting).

An interesting shape - I saw these for the first time this year when we were down South just before the lock-down.

A curious structure, but it needs a visual focus in all that sameness, Why is most of it gray, except for the bright lower-left corner?

Interesting subject - had to google it to see what i was looking at - but I find the picture a little confusingly busy. Did you consider separating them, and using a non-reflective surface?

Is it possible your settings - f22 and ISO 1600 - might be impacting on the sharpness of the image (and on our appreciation of the textures)?
