Panasonic DMC-FZ70       10th place, 58 points
1/13s, f3.6, ISO 800, 43mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: onOne black and white conversion> blend mode luminosity.
Spot healing brush and burn tool to tone down some bright bits. Topaz studio > expressionism 25 % opacity. Select dog, hue/saturation to shift colour a little bit. Topaz clarity , Topaz clean and Topaz detail, all on dog.
Extra Info: I'm locked down with Covid restrictions. Photography is not one of the four allowed reasons for leaving home. So, I have had to poke around looking for stuff to shoot in the house. I found this little figure trapped in the drawer, so I went with the whimsy.

Wallace to the rescue. I think this looks better (more interesting) than a normal shot of the same objects would.

Love the colors and the angle makes the shot more interesting than if orientated normally.

Interesting collection of books. Wallace fits in well.

Somehow the tilt draws my attention to Wallace. Shot straight, I'm not sure if it had the same affect. Fun and interesting. Nice collection of art books, too.

Poor Wallace - caught in the falling bookcase. I didn't see him till I read your explanation. Love the detail and colour.

Colourful but my choice would be to go tight in on Wallace to focus the attention on one item.

Colorful. The tilt, besides fitting in more books, adds an "out of the ordinary" sense to the scene. Shot straight, it would still be colorful but not as interesting.

I too am restricted in my travels and think you have chosen well with a colourful interesting shot, sharp and nicely composed. Nothing I don't like here so in my TT.

Free Wallace ! (and that's definitely not Gromit looking down on him)

Glad you "went with the whimsy" !
