Extra Info:
To the left of this shot is a 30 metre wide weir, normally a bubbling cascade of churning water, and was the intended subject of my entry. So I was disappointed to find that after the recent dry spell it had reduced to barely a trickle but after a 30 mile round trip, with time running out, and determined to leave with something, I had to settle for this side panel

Good timing.

I can't imagine the weir producing a better shot than this. The rushing water is beautiful and the swans are a lovely addition.

Lovely spot. The lighting is delightful.

Ah, I hate it when plans don't work out, especially right now when opportunities are limited. I think you did well. I do find the dark steps (?) to the left distracting but the swans probably didn't cooperate with you composition.

Sorry the weather didn't co-operate for the shot you wanted, but I think this one turned out pretty well. The falling water has a slightly solid look, which a slower shutter speed would have improved, I think.

Nice try, considering your obstacles. I might rather have titled it "Swan Pond." Seems a bit lacking in sharpness - camera shake?

No explanations, focus on what you have!I rarely come back with the shot I set out to get. The image is a little too soft in focus; to really pop it should be sharper.

your framing with the young swans works very well. I can see the part of the main drop and this works better
