This was my #1. The tracks lead my eyes right to the man and the dog. Beautiful scenery with great colors. Lovely. |

I had this first for a reason. I think it is perfectly suited to a square from and the tracks and cloud form a naturally perfect "sunburst" pattern drawing the eye to the man and dog. The horizon almost dead center but just a touch off cements the presentation. A highly sophisticated composition because of the fluid elements you had to work with but one in which every part plays a purpose. I just thought this was the superior shot though I thought Steve's was also technically excellent. You can see my note as to why I bumped his below yours. An excellent image. |

Nicely shot scene with the suggestion of a story behind it. Consider cropping off half of the sky - would improve the composition and heighten emphasis on the tracks. |

Quite a lovely shot. Normally I don't like back side views but this one works. Wonderfully expressive, technically superior. Nothing I can suggest to do better. |

Good photo and title. I really like the large space devoted to the lead-in lines of the footprints. For me it would be even better if it was a portrait format (losing some of the sides) rather than a square. |

What a beautiful beach! Good location for shooting. Square crop feels wrong. Vertical crop better. Less bright sky would keep eye in frame better. Much lower perspective would make footprints and the texture of the sand ridges more prominent. |
