Post-Processing: little levels & saturation tweaking, painted light and shadows, add selective blur, resize, little crop, little sharpening.       Extra Info: Wiki: A still is an apparatus used to distill miscible or immiscible (eg. steam distillation) liquid mixtures by heating to selectively boil and then cooling to condense the vapor. Stills have been used to produce perfume and medicine, Water for Injection (WFI) for pharmaceutical use, generally to separate and purify different chemicals, and most famously, to produce distilled beverages containing ethyl alcohol.
Stills are traditionally made of copper. This is a little one, the type you could find at private homes to distill self-made liquors. Today it's used as a decorative piece, since copper remains brilliant. Although not so much time ago we'd distilled a yummy apple liquor with it... ;-)

I like the glow off the polished copper and the way it is set against the dark background ..in my tt.

The lighting could have been more evenly spread over the subject. Perhaps a diffuser would have helped. In my TT.

Lovely warm, rich colours, excellent composition, and a very interesting piece. I would have liked to try your apple liquor! In my top three.

That is really a awesome history lesson and a beautiful antique piece that you have captured so well. Nice light and nothing to distract from the beauty. TT!!
